- WHAT KIND OF SCRIPT/STORIES DO YOU ACCEPT?
We are currently focused on short form and long form episodic web-series and web films (Fiction). We are also looking at real-life inspired docu-drama. However, we are not considering television, short-film, documentaries, or game show formats for the time being. - HOW LONG SHOULD BE MY SYNOPSIS?
We just require the story synopsis in maximum 3 to 5 pages. Your synopsis should have a complete story with a beginning, middle and end. - WHAT SHOULD I MENTION ON THE FIRST PAGE OF MY SUBMISSION?
Please mention:
a) Your name and short biography about who you are
b) Any previous work worth mentioning with links (If any)
c) Title of your story
d) Genre of your story (Action, Adventure, Crime, Comedy, Horror, Historical, Romance etc.)
e) You see it as a web-series or a web-film - IS REGISTERING MY STORY PRIOR TO SUBMISSION MANDATORY?
Yes. Registering your story is mandatory. We do recommend you to get your script/story idea registered with registering bodies like Screenwriters Association (SWA – www.swaindia.org) or Copyright Office of India before sharing it with us. - MY STORY IS INSPIRED BY ANOTHER FILM OR FILM/NOVEL OF ANOTHER COUNTRY/LANGUAGE. CAN I STILL APPLY?
No. Entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. Scripts with any form of plagiarism will be disqualified. However, exception could be made only if you have the official remake or adaptation rights to the original work. - WHAT IS THE FILE FORMAT FOR SUBMISSION?
Script/story should preferably be submitted in PDF Format. Please ensure the file is not password protected. Maximum file size: 4 MB - CAN I SUBMIT MY SYNOPSIS AS A VOICE NOTE?
Yes. The script/story synopsis can be recorded as well and shared with us. The voice note file should be sent through WeTransfer to: hiphipscript@gmail.com - IS THERE ANY APPLICATION FEE FOR SUBMISSION?
No. Script submission is free. - WILL I BE PAID IF MY SCRIPT IS PRODUCED?
Yes. The writer whose script would be selected to be made into a web-series or web-film or a docu-drama will be paid for their script. - MY SCRIPT/STORY IS IN REGIONAL LANGUAGE. HOW DO I APPLY?
Regardless of the language, the synopsis should be in English or Hindi only. - I HAVE THE ENTIRE SCRIPT READY. CAN I UPLOAD IT?
No. Please do not upload the entire script. If we like the synopsis/premise of your idea, only then we shall get in touch with you to know more about the full script. - CAN I SUBMIT MORE THAN ONE SCRIPT/STORY?
Yes. However, each script/story must be submitted with a separate submission form. - I AM AN NRI. CAN I SUBMIT MY SCRIPT/STORY?
Yes. Non-Resident Indians, and Foreign national of Indian origin are also allowed to participate. - THE STORY/SCRIPT IS WRITTEN BY MY FATHER/HUSBAND/BROTHER/BOYFRIEND/MALE COUSIN. CAN I SUBMIT IT IN MY NAME?
No. Hip Hip HERray Studios is dedicated to women-only content creators. The Entry must not contain falsehoods or misrepresentations. - IF A WOMAN HAS CO-AUTHORED THE STORY/SCRIPT WITH HER FATHER/HUSBAND/BROTHER/BOYFRIEND/MALE COUSIN. CAN IT BE SUBMITTED?
Yes. Provided the script is registered with her name too credited on it. - CAN I VISIT YOUR OFFICE TO MAKE MY SUBMISSION?
No. The entire application process is currently online. No physical submissions will be entertained. - HOW WILL I RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS IF MY SCRIPT HAS BEEN SHORTLISTED?
All communication regarding the shortlisting will be sent via email or through phone only as per the details provided by the writer in the submission form. - WILL I BE INFORMED IF MY SCRIPT/STORY IS NOT SELECTED OR THE REASONS THEREOF?
No. Due to a large number of submissions received, we will not be able to provide individual feedback or reasons to rejected scripts/stories. - IS THERE A REGULATION ON THE KIND OF CONTENT HIP HIP HERray STUDIOS ACCEPTS?
We are pretty much open to captivating, intriguing, provocative and disruptive high-concept stories in all genres. However, synopsis containing prohibited or inappropriate content as determined by Hip Hip HERray Studios, in its sole discretion, to be inappropriate will not be considered.
